Our Garden State Treatment Center staff are experienced in treating addiction at its core. We identify the underlying causes of substance abuse to give our clients an opportunity for a long term recovery.
Daniel Schaffer
Chief Executive Officer
Daniel Schaffer has over fifteen years of experience in various leadership roles within the healthcare industry. He holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School with a focus on Health Law and is also a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

Medical Director
A 1982 graduate Of UMDNJ/SOM, Dr. Ganon is board certified in Family Medicine. In a busy career spanning over 30 years, Dr. Ganon has taken on many clinical and leadership roles. Dr. Ganon is actively pursuing board certification in Addiction Medicine and is a vital part of the Garden State Treatment Center team.

Amanda Timonere has served in the field of Addictions and Mental Health since 2010. Originally from New Rochelle, New York, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Forensic Psychology with a minor in Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.

Clinical Director
Melissa joined the field of behavioral health in 2017 after completion of a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Melissa has pursued licensure as a clinical alcohol and drug counselor and credentialing as a certified clinical supervisor and certified grief and loss recovery specialist in the state of New Jersey. Melissa is passionate about fostering the growth of new clinicians and long term success in the recovery community by breaking barriers to treatment accessibility!

Charlee completed her MSW with Ramapo College of New Jersey and completed an internship with Garden State Treatment Center in 2023. Charlee has 2 years experience working with the substance use population and has gained a passion through that experience. She also has experience in crisis intervention services. Charlee is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Aside from working with the substance use population, Charlee has a passion for supporting vulnerable communities.
